Spot light cam and solar panel

I have a spot light cam connected to a solar panel. All worked great for about a year. Now I keep getting messages that my batteries are low. Yes, we have had some cloudy days but also sunny days. Shouldn’t the solar panel charge those batteries back up on a nice bright day?

Good question, @Ns107m! A bright day that provides several hours of direct sunlight to your Solar Panel will certainly be sufficient for a charge to be applied to your Ring device battery. The effectiveness of that charge can vary, however, based on some factors such as usage and temperature. Check out our Community post about battery drain for tips on optimizing the charge provided by your Solar Panel. I hope this helps!
