Solar panel & light not staying on at night, new stick up camera
I recently bought 3 solar panels. One of them was a new one that came with a new stick up camera however the solar panel is not charging and the battery keeps dying. In the device health it says “connected but not charging” I have done every one of the fixes found in every post, each thread and on google but nothing is working. The light on the camera at night also won’t remain on for this same camera either. It clicks on and off and on and off during the recording, when it detects motion. I have also read every post to try to fix this issue and yet again nothing works. It is not facing a window or towards other lights. This has been very frustrating. I have many cameras and this one and this solar panel is the only one not working properly.

Hi @Dragonfly079. The Solar Panel needs to receive at least 4 hours of direct sunlight per day in order to provide a trickle charge to the battery. If it's not receiving enough direct sunlight, it will not be able to charge the battery. We have some troubleshooting steps for the Solar Panel [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/10264201238292-Solar-Panel-2nd-Generation-Small-Solar-Panel-Troubleshooting). I'd suggest disconnecting the Solar Panel, performing a [reboot](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/7438395032980-Rebooting-your-Video-Doorbell-or-Security-Camera) on the Stick Up Cam, then reconnecting the Solar Panel. Ensuring the Solar Panel is receiving sufficient direct sunlight and performing a reboot should resolve the issue of it not charging. The reboot can also help resolve any performance issues, such as the night vision flickering on and off. If there are other light fixtures near the Stick Up Cam, those being turned on could also impact the night vision. If either of these issues persist after trying the general troubleshooting steps recommended, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406#callus) so they can take a deeper look.
