Ring2 bricked after update
I was moving no a new apartment so my ring doorbell was inactive for some time during this period, over one year. When I was ready to put battery in and get it working again, everything looked normal, it connected to my new wifi and it was working fine. After recommended software update everything stopped working, it said it was updating and after that my doorbell went totally dark and the lights went off and I have been unable to get anything from it ever since. It’s completely dead.I’ve tried different batteries but nothing works. It seems that the update bricked the device. I think it’s out of warranty but it’s very disappointing since it hasn’t been in use for a long time. My father’s ring2 doorbell, which we bought in a similar time, is working fine. I appreciate all ideas to fix the situation thanks

My ring doorbell had worked fine when I installed it first ... It was not in use since that time .... Sadly the update that I was forced to do bricked it . It does not respond anymore even to a resetObviously something in that update that most probly is designed to be used in sequence with earlier updates is crashing the doorbell permanently i was offered a discount code to purchase a new one.... I don't see why I would want to invest in or recommend a product like this again ? This seems to be a common issue with the product.

Hi, thanks for your reply, but I’ve allready tried that and it doesnt work since the doorbell is completely dead, no light or nothing, so it doesn’t change anything to hold in the reset button. Do you have any other solution for me since I really want to use the doorbell as soon as possible thx
