Ring not showing live

Hi neighbors! If your Live View isn’t connecting in the Ring App, there are a few different troubleshooting tips and tricks you can try in order to narrow down the cause of the problem.

  • Check the steps in our Community Post here. This goes over all of the basic causes for why Live View may not be working.
  • Look at the RSSI for your Doorbell or Security Camera in the Device Health page, as the RSSI indicates the strength of your device’s wifi connection.
  • Ensure the Ring app and your phone’s OS are fully updated, and any VPNs you have are disabled.
  • Try activating Live View on both wifi and cellular data to see if the concern persists across both or if one connection works and the other doesn’t.
