Ring Gen 3 Video Doorbell and Chimes

I purchased the Gen3 Video Doorbell a while ago. To date, I have never gotten a wireless chime to work. I don’t have access to an iOS device, only Android. What chimes are compatible with the Gen3 Video Doorbell or is there still a problem inside the Android Ring App that prevents establishing connection?

I have tried to connect to the existing wired doorbell/chime transformer in the house…but apparently it is too old to function with Ring…and it will cost me way more to update/upgrade the existing hardwire setup.

Hi @JohnKeas. You can use a Ring Chime or a Ring Chime Pro if you would prefer not to replace the existing chime kit in your home. Third-party wireless chimes are not going to be compatible, but the Ring Chimes I listed above will work with the Video Doorbell 3. I hope this information helps! :slight_smile:
