Ring floodlight wired

I have a ring floodlight wired and when I first bought it I didn't need a bridge or anything. It just worked. I read later that it would need a bridge but it was still working with alexa so I didn't worry about it. Now it doesn't work with alexa so I bought a bridge and it still doesn't work. When I try to set it up it says something went wrong. I have disconnected it from power and tried again multiple times but no luck. The bridge is set up and online but the floodlight wont connect to it.
