Ring Doorbell 3 Plus - sudden signal issue

Hi,

So I have the RD3 Plus, fitted it a few weeks ago, hardwired.

Signal has been fine, but now all of a sudden it’s losing signal to the router which is about 7m away. Not sure why all of a sudden it’s not working!

I have the Ring alarm system, does anyone know if the extender… extends to the door bell or just the alarm system? Thanks

Hi there, @Cabyo4! The best first step here will be to check which network your Video Doorbell is connected to. Your router is certainly within range for a sufficient wifi signal. I recommend connecting the Doorbell to your 2.4 Ghz network, if it is not already.

In regards to the Alarm Range Extender, this extender is only compatible with Alarm devices and would not work to extend wifi to your Doorbell. If you are needing to extend your wifi signal strength, check out our Chime Pro devices, which double as an extender and notifier of events! :slight_smile:
