Ring doorbell 3 blue circling light

Hi @tomcatuk. There are a few things to consider when your Doorbell 3 is not connecting or otherwise appearing unresponsive. Try out the troubleshooting steps below to see if they help get this resolved.

  • Fully reset your Doorbell by holding down the setup button for at least 20 seconds. After the reset is done,. set the Doorbell back up in the Ring App via the steps under Set Up a Device.

  • Attempt the setup process on a different smartphone or tablet, if you have access to one.

  • Check the RSSI in the Device Health page to see what it tells you regarding the strength of your Doorbell’s connection to your wifi. You can read more on RSSI here.
