Ring doorbell 2 never worked from install
I installed my video 2 along with my horn alarm. And not once has my phone rang to say something is at the door! Instead my Alexa devices adviced someone is at the door and my home ring alarm will play the doorbell. But not once has it shown on my phone saying someone is there etc not once! Yet it shows to be set up correctly. Where or what I’ve done wrong is a baffle . If anyone could help I’d be much appreciative thank you

Hello first of thank you for replying to me very appreciated. I have just read the attached for my devises all iOS. And still no luck. ?I have spent best part of £650 on the ring home alarm and doorbell .and all I want is to get a video on my phone when ever my bell is pressed .I am severely disabled and can’t get to my door in time you see: this is why I thought it would be perfect for me. I shall try once more when I’m calmer/ right now I want to pull the entire lot out. I’ve had Alexa notifying me 5x someone’s at the door ! Every time there is motion/ And only recently stoped that I deactivated her privileges with ring. So now she does not interact with ring at all/ shane really as she could be very very useful when I can’t here my bell or have my phone on me. But with me being vulnerable I always keep my phone on me as it’s also my medical panic alarm wired into the mains for emergency services etc. If we could Jsut get this doorbell to call my phone when someone is there like in the adverts I’d be over the moon! I’m not worried about Alexa too much that was under a £100 I bought the echo show thing. Purely so I can see my front door from my lounge. But even that does not work. I don’t no maybe I’m extremely thick or RING is Jsut not for people like me. When it sounds like it should work for me.

THi @kirtlondon. This is not the experience we want you to have. Your Doorbell should be alerting you consistently, without issue. With this being said, it would be best for our support team to investigate what might be going on with your Ring devices. Please read our response to COVID-19 [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360041597471) to see how to contact support. We're taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19. This has resulted in longer than normal wait times.

Hi @kirtlondon. Depending on what type of mobile phone you have, it will be a different process for setting up notifications. Here you can find instructions for [iPhone](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/210266406-How-to-Troubleshoot-Ring-Notification-Issues-for-iOS-Devices) and [Android](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/211676423-How-to-Troubleshoot-Ring-Notification-Issues-for-Android-Devices). Here you can find information on notifications on your [Alexa](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018032731-Doorbell-Announcement-Notifications-Through-Amazon-Alexa) devices. I hope this information helps.
