Ring Doorbell 2 Battery sudden fail
My Ring Doorbell 2 has been hardwired for 12 months and just a month ago the battery started losing charge rapidly? I took it out and charged it normally via USB. I put it back in and it seemed ok for a few weeks then yesterday I did a health check it showed 48%. I checked later and noticed it hadn't updated any motions for a few hours. I took the battery out and tried to charge it but the green light just stays on? Has the battery died???? This is really frustrating because in the last month I have had two incidents where the Doorbell has missed recording.

Hi @Johnarmour03. I would recommend that you reset your Doorbell and reconnect it to wifi. To do this, you will press and hold the setup button for 20 seconds, then release. After 1 minute, go ahead and [reconnect](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034825092-How-to-Reconnect-Your-Ring-Device-to-Wifi-or-Change-Your-Wifi-Network) the Doorbell to wifi. You'll want to make sure that you have a full charge once you reconnect it. If this is still a concern after a few days, reach out to our support team to look into this further for you. Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times.
