Ring Doorbell 1 - battery drains too quickly, gets worse with time

My Ring Doorbell 1 battery has an increasingly shorter life. I already took all the recommend steps to mitigate this (i.e. changing settings). My RSSI is 36 (so WiFi isn’t the problem).
Example: Within just 5 hours of charging the battery to 100% and with only 3 recorded events, the battery is now at 93%
