Ring camera constantly giving voice message alert

My neighbor’s backyard ring camera is giving audible messages randomly about every half hour. We hear it in our house where we work and at night when we try to sleep and it’s driving us crazy. She’s willing to help, but we don’t know what is causing it or how to stop it. We can’t hear the beginning of the message but it’s basically “… setup mode and will now reconnect. Now connecting. With ring you’re always home.” Why is she getting these messages and how do we stop them? Any help appreciated.

This is the unit causing the problem. I went into settings to find anything that can possibly shut off these constant messages to no avail. Any further information or leads on how to stop this would be much appreciated.

Hi @user35432. Is this Floodlight Cam online? Can you use Live View? What is the RSSI reading from the Device Health menu? You should only hear that message on the device if it is connecting to the internet.

Thank you for the info. Yes, when I checked it had recently been online and could use live view. But heard this announcement a few minutes before and after. Maybe it is intermittently going offline and reconnecting? It would be great if that notification was in the app instead of being audible. But will look into RSSI.

Hi @user35432. Yes, it sounds like there is connectivity issues here. Does you router have automatic switching between 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks? If so, try connecting to a dedicated 2.4GHz network for a steady connection.
