Ring bridge is online, up to date. Cannot add Pathlights

All of this was working at some point. Then one day they stopped. Its been months. I only got around trying to figure out what is going on. I've removed all devices in Ring lighting, including the bridge. Added bridge back. Now when trying to setup pathlights, I scan the barcode, app tries looking for bridge for half a second, then the app immediate reports back with Hmm. Something went wrong. Sorry about that. Please try again. The app reports that the Bridge is in fact online. What to do?

Hi @mikemu. Make sure your Ring app is [updated to the latest version](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/4812209807124-Mobile-Device-Compatibility-and-the-Ring-App), and that any VPNs you have are disabled or set to exclude Ring traffic. Since the Ring app is not compatible with the use of a VPN, having one on your phone can cause problems with the performance of the Ring app. I'd also recommend attempting the setup process with the Pathlights near the Ring Bridge, to ensure a smooth and quick connection. If you have access to a different smartphone or tablet, you can also try the setup on there if you keep receiving this error. If none of the above suggestions work, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406) so they can take a deeper look and offer more advanced troubleshooting support. If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.
