Hi @Steve101. What are you referring to when you are asking why it does not automatically open? If you're referring to the Live View, you can disable push notifications under Device Settings \> Alert Settings \> Notification Preferences. By doing so, if your Ring detects motion or someone pushes the button, it will automatically pull up the Live View if you are already in the Ring App. If you do not already have the Ring App open, it will still send a push notification that you can tap on to then access the Live View.
