QR Asset Tags for stuff, not just pets?

I just saw the Pet Tags QR codes. I think this is a great idea, but why limit this to pets?
Why not have a way to buy or generate QR codes that are linked and tracked by our Ring app/accounts?
Have these QR codes linked to an inventory of stuff we wanted tracked like camera or computer gear.
That way if found and scanned by someone, we can get notified and communicate with the person who found it.
Make it so!
