The floodlight cam is great…until it disconnects from WiFi. I placed mine above the driveway to replace an old floodlight that stopped working. It’s 28 feet up on the second story overhang. To reset it I am supposed to press the button on top. That is no small feet at that height and putting one at risk of a TBI every time there’s a glitch in the matrix. Why can’t an expensive product auto reconnect or at least be manually connected without having to press a damn button?!?! That is a MAJOR design flaw and I’m considering returning every Ring device I purchased recently to get my several hundred dollars back and go with something that doesn’t endanger me.

I totally agree. I changed my internet provider recently and I had to rent a ladder to do two resets. I was thinking also there has got to be a better way. Thanks for sharing Anthony

Hi there, @GKBJR. Thank you for sharing this feedback with us. The setup process for Ring devices is intended to be both a quick and secure process. As long as the network connection is sufficient, in most cases, this only needs to be done for initial setup. Check out our [Community post about RSSI](https://community.ring.com/t/how-it-works-your-ring-device-rssi-good-vs-poor/229) for tips on optimizing signal strength. You can also reconnect your Ring devices from the Device Health section of the Ring app, however, this will still require a button push to complete. As we always value our neighbors' feedback, feel free to add this request on our [Feature Request Board](https://community.ring.com/c/products/feature-request-board/24). This way other neighbors can share their interest in one place, that we can organize and share with our teams here. :)

I just installed one of these (the 2021 model). I have read in places, including in the Amazon reviews that these devices can be mounted horizontally. As delivered these devices can NOT correctly be mounted horizontally. The eyelids on the actual lamps will not turn around to point down. Please rectify or clarify this to future purchasers....

I ordered this and just got a mounting kit. Nothing about the tracking info sent with the order say it was sent in multiple packages. Anyone else experience this? Also, I find no way whatsoever to contact the company -- everything is bots linking in circles and no way to get a human being.
