When I turn on People only mode for my floodlight security camera, the camera stops recording motion events and stops alerts. This is nice because you won’t get chirps in the middle of the night when stray cats walk in front of the camera. However, I think it would still be nice to record any motion events so I could look through them the next morning. What I am describing, is kind of detailed in the link below. It is already a capability for battery Ring devices, but not hardwired devices. Since it is already a capability, it seems like a relatively easy addition to the software.
