I have the Ring Alarm and Panic Button on my system. I also have servers Ring cameras. The alarm is set so that when the alarm is tripped, all cameras record. This function works well when the alarm is tripped via a contact sensor or motion sensor but…..when the alarm is tripped via the panic button the cameras don’t auto record as instructed to do when the alarm goes off. This would seem to me to be a simple software design oversight and fix because I don’t know why it would matter how the alarm is tripped that determines if the linked devices, such as my cameras, then do what I want them to. Can ring confirm this is in fact the case? I tested the system twice each setting it off with a contact sensor and panic button. It records the cameras when set off with the contact sensor but not when set off with the panic button. When there is a human identified incident in my house I’d much prefer the cameras be able to record the incident. Seems like a no brainer. Get those coders to work!

    Hi @user40403. Currently, if your Alarm is tripped by your Panic Button, it will not have your Cameras start to record.       I have to be honest. I'm a little dumbfounded as to why Ring took the time to tell me to then take my time to make suggestions for improved features for their own products. Did it not occur to Ring that instead of telling me that to just do it themselves? For companies to rely on their customers for intercompany communication always frustrates me and customers absolutely hate it fyi. At that point you're no better than the DMV. So Ring hasn't done much to instill confidence in me to even try taking the time and that it would actually result in something. In fact I felt my time was more valuably spent in this writeup which goes to tell you something. I just told them here, they looked at me and said yea go stand in that other line. Thank you..?
