It is my understanding that if I buy the Ring Bridge and connect it to my lighting/cameras that I can have an outdoor motion sensor that will trigger the lights and camera (if configured).

Is it also possible to receive a notification on my phone if this outdoor motion sensor has been triggered and my lights are now on??

Also, does the outdoor motion sensor only trigger when people are sensed? Or will it trigger if a car goes by or a small animal?

Hi @Mike1967. Yes, you are able to receive notifications from the Motion Sensor when it detects motion. As for its motion detection, it uses IR technology, which causes it to potentially detect other objects other than people. You are given the ability to adjust its motion sensitivity to help out with this.
