I ended up using a sharpie to colour some paper black then sellotaped this over the blue light and both red lights that come on when sensing motion as they also disturb my kids when we check in on them during settling for bed.

Or at least the option of muting, or reducing the glare?

This is a must have feature. My Samsung camera allows me to turn off the light on the front of the camera.

I run 3 Airbnb’s. The blue light can make people uncomfortable and disrupt their train of thought. It interupts mine when I see the blue light activated. Which them leads me to question why I came into the room in the first place. Lol. I was going to put tape over them. But seeing this suggestion in the works, I will wait and see.

Why would you have indoor cameras at an AirBnB especially one that someone can’t tell if you are looking at it or not? That’s kind of creepy dude, and I’m almost positive that is against their rules. I am screen shooting this snd sending it to AirBnB

#1 anyone who calls a short term rental an "Airbnb" is new to the game. Air is one site and not the best one and certainly not the first one. #2 While the cameras are allowed in limited areas within the home if disclosed it is pretty much a no on any rental site. A pullout couch in a living room alone makes it a no for example. #3 This person in particular doesn't want the guest knowing they are being watched because no one likes to be watched. A doorbell cam or other outdoor devices are acceptable but as a long time operator of STR's, having a cam inside is nothing less than creepy. While we should be able to disable the light on our own property doing it to view strangers renting a home is improper. I belong to several groups of STR operators and I can assure you this is frowned upon.

Pls. Add a option that the status light can turned off, if for instance the cam is offline.

Although not an elegant solution, but to prevent a thief from seeing the bright blue light, I used a tiny trimmed piece of black electrical tape .... used twezzers to carefully stick the tape just over the Blue light. Was careful not to cover the any portion above or below the light (so not to cover the motion detection or IR light for night operations). It worked to prevent the blue light from now being seen.
