This one is quite a simple request really; Please add door open notification announcements to keypads! :-)

This is basic functionality, done by most alarm systems. Should be simple, as we can already tag the different sensors, we should be able to hear a specific entry point as opposed to just a chime.

I am glad 2 other people have brought up this issue. It would very nice to have that option. For it to say open/close door, windows, back door, garage door and so on.

Since the Ring keypads and chimes will not verbally announce which contact sensor or motion detector is being tripped, I have programmed my Echo system to make the announcements for me. You can do this by building a Routine for EACH sensor and EACH Echo. I currently have 7 contact sensors installed and 6 Echos. I had to build 42 routines to allow each Echo to announce which of the 7 contact sensors were tripped. It is not an elegant solution, but it works.

I just was about to ask the same thing i found out that you can do that using any Alexa device Just make a routine Alexa will announce it

Can you please add the ability to get notifications when a particular door/window sensor is left open for a set duration? Say someone (KIDS) left a door open and forgot to close it even when the alarm is disarmed. You set the amount of time that has to pass before being notified that a sensor was left open.

Yes - this really needs to be added. Often I'll leave a particular door adjar on purpose (e.g. while I bring groceries in), and would like to be reminded if I don't close the door after say 15min.

Agree on this. Only feature I miss from leaving alarm.com.

Please add this! I am still leaving my alarm.com and old alarm operating for this feature. If easier, perhaps "Alexa, ask ring if any doors are open" would be a decent interim offering if it were much easier to implement.

Did you forget to close your garage door after getting home and disarming your system? It would be great to get an alert reminding you that your garage door is left opened. You may choose to ignore the warning or be reminded again later. The Ring App could control these settings for your contact sensors.

Please add the capability with Ring Alarm to send a notification when a door sensor is left open for x minutes. I don’t need to be notified every time a door opens, but would like to know when a door is left ajar for more than a couple minutes. This should be easy to do!

Passive Notification on Keypad: If would be nice to have (at minimum) a visual notification on the keypad that there are open sensors before you actually try to arm the alarm (passive notification). Open Zone Notification from Keypad: Pressing a key to have the keypad speak what sensors are open would be nice or a LED screen on the keypad that shows what sensors are open (similar to the scrolling sensors which are open that show in the app). If integrated into the keypad you would not have to go to get your phone or open the app to know what sensors are open in order to close these sensors vs. just by-passing.

Why has this request been merged in? - These are totally different feature requests.
