For Iphone X and Door Ring 2- wanted to share my personal experience to reset and restart the Live VIew

Go first on Iphone settings -
Bluetooh need to be OFF
Cellular - All the way to the bottom Wi-Fi assists - OFF and then go up to Cellular Data - OFF

Now on the device -Press the and keep ONLY 5 seconds the Set up button
white leds will blink around

Open the app Ring and follow up all the steps
First will want to connect you to the internal Ring wifi - accept and keep following all steps… accept the local WI-FI . put your password… and hit continue

Important : stay close to your router when you are doing all those steps

Hopefully will work for you too… I spent all day trying to figure it out on you tube , internet , groups, etc …without success .
Finally called Customer Service Technical department and a nice lady help me out and now is flawless.

So, I’ve had ring cameras for over 5 YEARS now. I won one and now have 3 since I’m invested in the ecosystem at this point. And since I’ve had them I’ve never reliably been able to live view reliably regardless of router, phone, settings, location, city, etc. Yet a month ago I bought the 30 dollar Blink camera off amazon (both owned by Amazon) and that one live views instantly every time. It’s a Ring problem we are all having not a setting or anything else. I have 2 doorbells and a ring stick up cam and while they at least give me notifications and record I’ve never been able to live view properly.

I am having an issue with Live View using the app. It says Sending Request, Activating Device, Sending Credentials, then just back to the screen to click Live View.

I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it.

Now it is saying my phone is having trouble connecting to ring. My wifi is strong I don’t what problem it could be having on my end?

Once again we are back to is saying Activating Device, Sending Credentials, Opening Stream and then it goes back to the click for Live View screen.

Does anyone know if this is an issue with the app in the Chrome Store?

Hey neighbors! Live View connection concerns or your Live View ending when trying to activate it is often related to the network or mobile device connection, and so these are the best variables to start with. Please check the following:

  • A good RSSI, or signal strength, in the Device Health section of your Ring app.
  • Battery is sufficiently charged if applicable.
  • Wifi speeds, interferences, and distance to router.
  • Test live video on cellular data only, and on wifi only, with your mobile device.
  • Disable any VPN on Data Saver on your mobile device to ensure they are not interrupting the Live View.
  • If you are using Android, please check out our Help Center article about conflicting apps to see if it applies.

Try also our Rapid Ring app, which is designed for this quickest access to Live View.
