No footage between 1am and 6.30am

As per title, my ring doorbell doesn’t capture any footage between about 1am and 6.30 am.
My internet connection is stable overnight. There is good lighting at my front door. I’ve reset the thing, turned modes on and off and on again. People are outside my door and it doesn’t register with the camera. It was fine when we first got it, but this error has been going on for months.
Any advice or am I returning it and buying a different brand?

Has anybody else experienced this ? I have a ring 2nd gen doorbell and I can walk past it at night and get no notification that someone is at the door?

Hi @FedUpuser and @user65402 . The time of day should not impact motion detection, unless you have manually toggled off motion detection or you changed the Mode and have motion detection disabled in that Mode. If you have a battery powered Doorbell, check your Motion Frequency setting to make sure it fits your preferences. Smart Alerts are another setting that I’d suggest looking over, which is available if you have a Ring Protect plan.

Lastly, look into your router settings and ensure there are no automatic reboots or resets around that time frame each day, which could affect the connectivity of your Doorbell. I have checked everything. Several times. It works fine during the day, until around 1am then nothing until around 6.30 the next morning.
Until a few months ago it was working perfectly well.
Seems strange that when looking for this issue on this site, several other people report the exact same issue, but there is still no solution.

@FedUpuser If your Doorbell is connected to wifi and motion detection is enabled, visitors at your door should be detected, regardless of the time of day. If this isn’t the case, you’ll need to get in touch with our support team for more in-depth troubleshooting assistance. Our support team can review device details to assist further than we can here.

So, no help then?
I’m not the only person with this exact issue.
It’s all very well saying phone for troubleshooting assistance, but not everyone can call at the times you’re open. Not everyone is hearing.
Useless.
