New Purchase not registering

troubleshooting

I have just purchased door contact sensors. It states to scan QR or bar code to add to other items. But sensor won’t register, it keeps stating bar code is not recognised. It also does not show up under any of the cats to enter it. Chimes, Security, Door Bell etc. as there is no way of contacting Ring other than phone, does anyone have any ideas. Cheerd

Hi @user82238. Contact Sensors are part of the Ring Alarm System and cannot be setup without the systems Base Station. Do you have a Ring Alarm System?

Hi. Thanks, realised I couldn’t use sensors so returned them and bought another camera for the garden, but can’t figure out how to disarm this camera whilst keeping the camera and doorbell at the front on
