Moving to HEVC codec causing issues with Windows users live view
Ring recently moved to HEVC as a video format which makes a lot of sense from a video quality and bandwidth/storage point of view. Unfortunately from a Windows 10/11 user perspective this means we can't, by default use it as HEVC was removed from Windows at the back end of last year. Although we can pay £0.79 to get the HEVC codec from Microsoft, the Ring website still thinks that our platform is incapable of supporting it. Please look into this Ring ... your web site assumes that we as Windows users can't support HEVC when we actually can. My Chrome browser on Windows plays HEVC content just fine (apart from yours).
