Motion zones touch points are barely responsive

I'm not sure what happened to the app but when creating motion zones in the app, it's very difficult to fine tune the zones. For example, when adjusting a zone and you are moving the touch points to adjust the zones, the points stop moving when they get to be a certain distance from each other. This becomes very frustrating.It's been like this for a couple years. I thought it was my android phone, but I have completely reset the phone as well and it's still happening. This app never used to be this much of a pain to adjust the zones. But now it makes me want to throw my phone across the room because it seems like when you touch the zones it becomes unresponsive depending on how close you adjust them. I have no issues with the touch screen with any other apps. Just this one.
