Motion Warning NOW on ALL DEVICES
ALL WIRED DEVICES NEED MOTION WARNING NOW!!! I can’t believe the plug in stickup cam gen 3 is still waiting for it, when you announced it was already rolling out for this and more models. When will it be rolled out?! ALL WIRED DOORBELLS NEED MOTION WARNING TOO - ASAP! “Warning! Person Detected! Hello, this is Ring. You are being recorded. Occupant has been notified.” Ridiculous to think someone is going to wait for the camera to detect motion, open the app, then speak to the criminal through the speaker. It should absolutely be automatic, right now. Also add new Quick Reply option for Doorbells: “ Hello, this is Ring Home Security. You are being recorded and monitored. Occupant has been notified. Please state the reason for your visit.” Most of the other responses are pleasant and welcoming, but make it sound like you are not home, completely defeating the purpose. I have no interest being pleasant. I want to scare people away. You actively chose not to offer an option lime this. It’s so obvious I just assumed it was available. I can’t fathom why it isn’t. I’m really disappointed. If firmware updates are not coming extremely soon (when?!) to correct these issues, I’ll be returning my equipment.

Please enable the Motion Warning for Battery Cameras. All of our spotlight cameras are solar powered with rechargeable batteries. We would like to be able to use the Motion Warning message with these spotlight cameras but the Ring app says they are not compatible. Why not? My assumption is battery consumption. But shouldn’t it be up to the user to determine how much battery is consumed by additional features? That’s why our batteries are solar powered, so we don’t need to worry about battery drain.

The lack of Motion Warning for the battery and solar powered Spotlight Cam Plus, as well as delayed motion detection is disappointing.

These basic features should be available on this supposedly advanced camera but aren't currently.

Add the the Motion Warning alert cannot be enabled on the Battery powered spotlight camera.

It’s obvious that the motion waning feature that announces to passerby’s that recording/monitoring is in process is a great deterrent. It’s also disappointing that it’s only available on certain, wired devices. While I understand the logic behind it possibly draining batteries too fast if triggered continuously, those of us who have invested in the solar accessories should still be able to make use of the feature. Honestly, everyone should be able to activate it, along with a disclaimer on possible battery drain and frequency/scheduling controls. At a minimum, this would spur sales of your solar products especially if it allows the motion detect feature to work. This would immediately lower the frequency and likelihood of break-ins and possibly save lives.
