More or Custom Chime and Chirp Tones in the Ring App
It seems many of us want more Alert/Chirp sounds to choose from. Different sounds would make it easy to listen and immediately know which Ring device is activated. But instead of having Ring pick additional sounds for us, would it be possible to add an alert/chirp sound called "Custom" and then provide a method for the user to "Import" a sound file into this custom slot?Even better, provide "Custom 1", "Custom 2", and Custom 3", etc. That way the user could import several different sounds according to their specific needs. There are plenty of Sound Files that can be downloaded free off the Internet. And you could even make your own sound file or voice-recording file too! Instead of just "Motion at your Front Door", you'd be able to make "Back door is open", or "Motion at your Backyard Cam."I bet some people wound make some funny/unique sound files to use as their custom alert/chirp sounds! What do you think?

There should be an option to set different tones for each camera on the Chime Pro, just like you can set these in the Ring app for your phone alerts. Or the Chime Pro could have a setting to use the same tones that are already set in the app.

AI have two Ring doorbells... One at the front door and one at the side door. The app only lets me set one round for ringing the bell, and one sound for motion. I should be able to set each doorbell independently, so that I know from the sound which doorbell to head to. Also, Ring Chime devices should be able to have a different alert for each doorbell.

JUpdate/backport the Ring Chime product so that it supports different ring chimes for motion and doorbell. NOT just the standard 2.Why? Because it is confusing when you have changed thecamera motion detection chime so that each chime is different and represents a different area, this works on the Ring iphone App, but is not reflected on Ring Chime product - i.e. just the generic chime sounds and you can't differentiate where it came from like you can from the chimes on the mobile phone.

BThis request is related to other requests for more alerts-sounds for other Ring Video devices, like the Indoor Cam, Stick-up cam, Spotlight Cam, and the different variants of the Ring Doorbell & Chime devices. Yes, I agree for the need for more/different sound choices, to determine quickly which device was activated (without having to look at your phone notification, which can take some valuable time). Having multiple video devices inside and outside, and several doorbells, can make it difficult to determine which device it is (by sound alone) due to the limited number of available alerts choices.Instead of having Ring pick alert-sounds for us, would it be possible to add an alert-sound called "Custom" and then provide a method for the user to "Import" a sound file into this custom slot? Even better, provide "Custom 1", "Custom 2", and Custom 3", etc. That way the user could import several different alert-sounds according to their specific desires/needs. There are plenty of Sound Files that can be downloaded free off the internet. And you could even make your own alert-sound file or alert-voice recording too! I bet some people will make some funny/unique sound files to use as their custom alert-sounds!

Same here. When one of my doorbells goes off in the middle of the night I'd like to know which one it was without having to look at my phone. I have two chimes but I can't hear them both from my bedroom, so I can't just set a different ringtone for each one.

> @aardWolf and [@fmilton](https://community.ring.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/49320) , > The Ring Chime device and the Ring Chime Pro device currently make the same sounds for Ring (doorbell sound) and Motion-detection, when you have multiple Ring devices connected to the same/single Chime device. So, if you have two doorbells (or some combinations of a doorbell and other Ring devices) connected to a single Chime, they all will produce the same sound from the Chime, and you cannot differentiate (from the sound alone) whether it is the front or rear door.Others have been requesting the feature that you are looking for. If you like the idea for Chime/Chime-Pro to emit separate sounds from several Ring devices connected to a single Chime device, you should make your vote be heard by clicking on the all the links below, and then click on the "Thumbs Up" icon on the beginning thread (upper-left side) of the originator's 'Feature-Request-Board'. > [@GeneL](https://community.ring.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/2351)> , In this Ring "Feature Request Board" forum, the 'Thumbs Up" blue button/Icon is located at the upper-left-corner of the originator's first posting of the idea (very beginning of the thread), so you may have to scroll back to the beginning. Of the 9 Product topic forums, the 'Feature Request Board" is the only forum room set up this way. > Thanks for the kind words! :)
