Mailbox Sensor unreliable

I have a mailbox sensor mounted in the rear of a plastic mailbox. The app shows excellent signal. However, the thing either never goes off, or goes off for no reason. I am constantly messing with the sensitivity setting, and sometimes it will work reliably, but lately, like I said, it either never goes off, or constantly goes off for no reason. No, it isn't being triggered by cars going by. There is literally no reason for it to go off, but it does. Help?

Hi @solson440. Try the following troubleshooting steps for your concern: - Power cycle your Ring Bridge by unplugging it for a few seconds and plugging it back in. - Power cycle your Mailbox Sensor by taking the batteries out for a few seconds and putting them back in. - Remove the Mailbox Sensor from your account and then factory reset it by pressing and holding the reset button in the battery compartment for 15 seconds. Then wait about a minute and set it up again in your Ring app. If you have tried these steps and are still having the same concern, give our [support team](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406) a call for further assistance.
