Mailbox sensor triggers recording late

I just installed a Ring Stickup cam solar and associated it with the Ring mailbox sensor. However, the recording doesn't start until the mailman is already leaving the mailbox. I used to have it associated with the Ring Doorbell Cam, and that didn't happen; that would record as soon as the motion was detected. The stickup cam has a better perspective, so I don't want to switch back to the doorbell cam, but I also don't want someone stealing my mail and leaving before the recording starts. Suggestions?

Hi @solson440. To confirm, you have your Stickup Cam linked to your Mailbox Sensor through the [Linked Devices](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360033904271-Linking-your-Ring-devices-together-for-enhanced-security-) feature? What is the [RSSI](https://community.ring.com/t/how-it-works-your-ring-device-rssi-good-vs-poor/229#M4) on your Stickup Cam, and are any of the other recordings outside of the ones linked to the Mailbox sensor delayed at all?

Oh, my... I did not notice that this topic had been replied to. My apologies for the late reply. Yes, the mailbox motion sensor triggers recording on Camera 1 through linked devices. The recording starts when the mailbox sensor detects motion. Any other recording made based on motion detection will have a few seconds prior to the motion being detected in the saved video, as expected. RSSI-54 on the camera in question
