Keep the ring door bell from ringing the indoor mechanical

Is there any option to keep the Ring door bell from ringing the indoor mechanical chime at certain hours in the morning? If someone presses the ring doorbell that it will not ring the mechanical chime indoors at certain times of the day. Like a no disturb option that we have on the smartphones, but for the chime itself with a schedule?

I tried searching for an indoor chime that runs off the transformer power like the mechanical and that has a WiFi function the schedule a do not disturb date and time. I don’t think there is such a ring chime that is WiFi programmable for not disturb on a schedule. The current Ring Chime has a snooze option for is only for a timer setting. It would be nice if there was an option to schedule not to ring from 12am-9am and also choose dates. Maybe even have an update to the ring door bell and not the chime to schedule date and times when not to ring.

Hi @idanny76. There is not an option to disable your chime kit from ringing for a certain period of time. You’re welcome to add this idea to our Feature Request board. This will help us to organize and share your requests with our teams here, as well as allow other neighbors to comment and add interest, all in one place. Feel free to link that post you make in the Feature Request board here so other neighbors that come to this thread can easily find your feature!

I found a solution since I have seen the feature request issues 3yrs ago and it hasn’t been implemented. I was able to convert the transformer for the doorbell and chime into an outlet. Bought an $18 plug-in transformer with a smart outlet that I could program to turn off power to the transformer which will disable the mechanical chime and the ring doorbell will still function with the battery to send notifications and ring outside, but not inside.

Now I had a mechanical chime, but if you have the wireless ring chime, just put a smartplug adapter before the chime and schedule it to turn off at the schedule time you want. Hope this helps anyone who do not want to be bother or have the dogs barking in the morning hours. I have a neighbor who likes to stop and ring the doorbell in the morning.
