IFTTT - hardwired video doorbell not supported?
I've just updated my doorbell to a hardwired video doorbell, but found when I tried to connect the doorbell 'ring alerts' to my system using IFTTT, the new doorbell does not show up in IFTTT, but does for 'motion alerts'. The Ring IFTTT applet has worked fine for years, with my old Ring doorbell, so why is it not working with the hardwired video doorbell? I need to get this working, as it's the only way I can interact the doorbell into my home security/lighting system.

The wired doorbell is enabled as a new ring detected option for me. I first had to choose my doorbell under 'New motion detected', then select back and then 'New ring detected.' Your wired doorbell should now appear in the drop down box.

@njmj74 You're a genius. I was so frustrated with the doorbell before this but it's now working well with my existing setup. Got it for just £5 in a Black Friday sale, after cashback, so was annoyed at the idea of having to get a nest doorbell for £150 just to get one that worked with IFTTT. Thanks again for posting your solution here - I am sure it will benefit a number of people.

I am fed up with this. Ring won't connect to Google Home any more. The wired doorbell won't even work with IFTTT as an intermediary service. I feel like a victim of corporate competition here. This is the 21st century and still some vendors are trying to lock users into their ecosystems when most technologies are heading for open source and interoperability. I'm sending my Ring Wired back and getting a Nest doorbell - I feel deceived to be frank.
