How to get support with faulty item

Hi everyone

I stupidly signed up with Ring and expanded by getting another camera rather than changing brands.
Long story short- the screws in the battery spot cams are all unthreaded, whereby I can’t loosen the mount to attach the camera. When it was manufactured it was forced by the Ring technician/worker.
I tried to get support from Ring but they force you to the community to sort these poor quality products out.

  1. How do you get proper support from them?
  2. Am I the stupid one and you force the ball of the camera into the clip in the mount (not needing to loosen them?
  3. Should I just change brands?
