How to find current status of my order

I ordered a camera on 30 August. It’s not been delivered but I’ve had an email saying the order is delayed. How do I find out the current status and likely delivery date?

I ordered my alarm system 10 days ago. The only information I have from customer support is that the order has not shipped yet. They could not provide even a range of possible ship dates. But if you ask them how long would it take to receive a new alarm if you ordered it today, they still say 3 to 5 days. Lies are now part of the American political and business culture.
