Once a video has been deleted from the Ring app, either manually or due to the [video storage time](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360047871752-Understanding-and-Adjusting-Your-Video-Storage-Time-) expiring, it cannot be recovered. Subscribing to a [Ring Protect plan](https://ring.com/protect-plans) does not provide retroactive access to videos of events that occurred before subscribing, as there are no videos of those events. If you ever need to keep a video longer than the storage time allows, we recommend you [download the video](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001834066-Downloading-and-Sharing-Your-Ring-Videos) to your phone or computer.
