Glass break sensor
It would be great to have an actual glass break sensor for the alarm system. It’s a real short coming of the ring alarm system that otherwise is a very good system. I do not wish to use an echo to listen for glass break sounds. A dedicated glass break sensor that is fine tuned to the sounds of breaking glass and can pick up the shock waves from glass breakage would be a much better solution

I would definitely like to see this feature, or at least the ability to use Echo Guard when in Home Mode. Not sure why you wouldn't want to monitor for that when you are home or away.

I'd like to make two suggestions for products/features:1) I know it's been brought up many times, but a glass break sensor is critical to a functioning alarm system. I know you can use the Echo devices, but that doesn't do me any good when I can't have my phone on me for alerts and Ring doesn't dispatch police for it. Additionally, I've seen several reviews online that show the Echo devices don't trigger on many instances of glass breaking. Please create a glass break sensor or certify an existing one to work with Ring.2) Please make a Ring Gen 2 Base Station without a built-in Wi-Fi router (or at least update the firmware to allow it to be disabled). The idea that everyone will want to replace their existing Wi-Fi with a Ring base station is silly, and you chase away customers when they need to replace their Gen 1 but don't have an option to without also replacing their Wi-Fi setup.

For some with older routers with limited device capacity, that may work. But for people with an existing mesh network that can support hundreds of devices, there is no benefit to running two networks. Unless you're paying for two separate service connections, or have a managed router with configured VLANs, they're both on the same network anyway, so there is no security benefit to be gained. And if you choose not to use the Wi-Fi router in the Ring basestation, then that's just another point of entry into your network that can't be disabled. And an added bonus to any malicious folks is that it's directly integrated right into your alarm system.Ideally, it would be great to have a version of the basestation without a Wi-Fi router in it (which should make it slightly cheaper), but at the very least, provide the option to turn off the Wi-Fi router (which should be nothing more than a firmware change). Almost every other device that has Wi-Fi has the ability to turn it off. I'm not sure why Ring can't do the same.

PLEASE add glass break sensors to your inventory Ring. We have been faithful customers for several years, but the lack of this feature is glaringly obvious. We have Alexa Guard setup, but it only works if we're away from the house. We would like glass break sensors to be active when we're sleeping at night with the alarm set to "Home" mode. With all the other companies offering glass break sensors, it seems like a no-brainer that Ring should make this option available as well.
