Glass break sensor

It would be great to have an actual glass break sensor for the alarm system. It’s a real short coming of the ring alarm system that otherwise is a very good system. I do not wish to use an echo to listen for glass break sounds. A dedicated glass break sensor that is fine tuned to the sounds of breaking glass and can pick up the shock waves from glass breakage would be a much better solution

Please add a glass break detector, I would purchase several, lack of support for glass break detection is the reason I haven't purchased a ring security system.

Echoing the call for Ring glass break sensors. Any proper alarm system should include these.

So when do you know ring will give us the glass break sensors? Or will it?

I was a ring doorbell user for several years. I invested in a ring alarm system and was led to believe the ring alarm had glass break sensors. This whole notion of the Alexa integration is not a security solution. I need sensors that are directly connected to alarm monitoring. A mere alert on my phone tied into Alexa sounds is not a solution. I see that this is a topic for many. As painful as it will be, I will be moving away from the ring platform if this does not get resolved.

I bought into Ring to get a "real" security system after spending much time trying to DIY a solution in Smartthings. Way too much cloud and third party machinations only to end up with a 'hobby" system. Ring has everything EXCEPT a real glass break sensor. Alexa is NOT an answer - not even properly integrated to trigger an alarm. Even Smartthings supports the [Utilitech Z-Wave Glass Break Detector ](https://www.zwaveproducts.com/products/gb00z-2-gocontrol-smart-glass-break-detector?variant=22465794113621&currency=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&utm_campaign=gs-2019-09-18&utm_source=google&utm_medium=smart_campaign&gclid=Cj0KCQiAlsv_BRDtARIsAHMGVSayWvLRLn_ZVjhZmZUo0wpY6x1QkMSECSWqxEJzGXk0ofrEiEck_hAaAgT0EALw_wcB) Come on!! There are other options out there - you don't need to re-invent the wheel. [Z-Wave Glass Break ](https://www.climax.com.tw/new/acgs-23zw.php)Fortunately, Ring does support some third party devices like the First Alert Z-Wave Smoke & CO Detector, so I was able to move those from Smartthings to Ring. Please... Give us a real Glass Break Detector. If nothing else, at least IFTTT integration would give the Community a chance to help out.Apologies if this came across as a rant. I love my Ring - it's a real security system. Just plug the hole.
