Geofencing snooze only available for 3 hours?
troubleshooting
notifications

I've got to be missing something...I have a Ring Stick for in my flat. It faces the front door and the hallway. I am being bombarded by notifications and the only way I can seem to stop them is to use geofencing but that only snoozes them for 3 hours. Surely geofencing should allow you to mute all notifications when home and turn them on when you leave... How should I be turning off notifications when at home? Surely you don't have to manually do this?

Hi @Kupfer. To silence motion alerts for a selected duration of time when you're home, you can use the [Motion Snooze](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000047206-How-to-Use-Motion-Snooze-and-Global-Snooze) feature in the Ring App. You can also find more information on the Geofencing feature in our Hep Center Article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052805372-Geofence-in-the-Ring-App). I hope this information is helpful. :)

Thanks Caitlyn. From what I can see, this only allows for auto-snooze for a max of 3 hours which is understandable for a doorbell but not for an internal camera. Can it be set to snooze for the duration of being in the geo-fenced location and only switch off snooze when you leave that location?

@Kupfer Currently it's not an option to snooze your devices indefinitely when you're within the Geofence. When setting up the Geofence, you can choose which devices are snoozed and for how long, up to 3 hours. We do also have the [Modes feature](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036107792-Control-All-your-Ring-Devices-with-Modes) which you can use to control when your Cameras detect and record motion, which you may find helpful in further customizing your settings. You're also welcome to add any suggestions or feedback on any of these features in our [Feature Request](https://community.ring.com/c/products/24) board. This will help us to organize and share your requests with our teams here, as well as allow other neighbors to comment and add interest, all in one place :)

Completely useless feature with it only being a snooze for a set period. If I'm at home I don't need notifications at all. If I'm away, i want them all. This should be a permanent setting. Pretty obvious.

To add further; there was a break in attempt last night at my neighbours house and my device was set to only record people so missed any cars/vehicles driving past. The ability to record and notify should be completely separate, i.e. record x+y+x, notify for x+y. Same for zones. Again, obvious ommissions
