To all you Windows users out there. If we assemble a list of features we would expect to see in the Windows App (the non-device computer), maybe Ring will be able to build at least half the functionality into that app that they have for iOS and Android. So let’s begin with a Requirements list of features and we will acknowledge what Ring has already build into their Windows app:
- List of Ring Devices
- List of Devices by Locations
- Timeline view of a Camera
- View video
- Share Video
- Favorite Video
- Delete Video
- Download Video
- Download Timeline
- Enable correction for fix Fisheye effect of video
- View of Video Event (AKA History)
- Two-way voice
- View multiple cameras at the same time
- Keep camera running on top of other windows
- Mode Setting
- Health Check (with consistent values battery values within the App)
- Notification Settings with volume control
- Motion Settings with volume control
- Customized Sounds for Motion and Rings
- Snooze the alerts/alarm

- Adjust Motion Schedule & Frequency
- Adjust Recording time Length
- Share Access to another Users
- Remove Access for another User

- See Linked accounts
- Manage Linked Accounts
- Setup linked Doorbell

- Enable/Disable to register as a Startup app in Windows, without have to manually add to startup
- Option to Minimize to the System tray and hide when minimized
Not a lot of check marks there for the current version of there App (2.5.8-store). Given how much this doorbell cost, I don’t think it is too much to ask for a number of more checkmarks.
Anything missing from the list? Is this asking too much of Ring?
