Floodlight Cam has been flickering/strobing for several days
The floodlight cam started to flash/strobe a coup leof weeks ago. I have tried everything from checking wiring, to reseting, to a device health report. Nothing seems to fix it and the light intensity is becoming very weak to the point that I have turned off the light to stop annoying the neighbors. Based on what I found on the web, there is not fix to this as the LED elements are not replaceable. I have seen DIY videos on YouTube where people buy a cheap floodlight and replace the entire optical assemblies, which seems crazy to me. has anyone found a different solution? Is there an option to get a replacement unit and return the one that has failed? Thanks in advance.

I experienced the same flickering issue and of course, my Ring Floodlight Camera is less than 2 months out of warranty. They refused to offer anything other than a 35% discount. For a $250 Product, this sort of Customer Service suck. I hope they monitor this feedback comments

I had the same problem and after a few weeks with Tech Support and a electrician out to my house, it was just bad LEDs probably because they skimped on them in production. I have read that this is pretty common with the RING Floodlight unfortunately. I was told that the only thing I could do is purchase a new one at a discount that I think is a lousy solution for a devise that is not that old. (a few months out of warranty). When a company sells their product direct to the consumer at the same price as Best Buys and then discounts to them to replace a defective problem, they are still making money and continue to make money from me because of my yearly subscription for my 3 devices. I am not sure what I am going to do since I don't want to buy a new flood light every year and a half. I am very disappointed with RING.

Same issues here with the strobing. I’m actually shocked to come across so many folk with the same issues. Mine started strobing yesterday and I’m glad I came across here as it seems no matter what I would have done to try fix this issue there doesn’t seem to be a solution other than buying a new floodlight camera. I’ve had mine up just over 3 years now but still feel so disappointed this can’t be fixed or resolved other than getting a new one

RING FLOODLIGHT IS GARBAGE!! As everyone can see here, they don't last past 2-3 years. I have had mine for almost exactly 3 years. Last month Camera started turning purple so resolution sucks. Light started blinking annoying neighbors this week. Its shot. Ring Support in this thread says to call them so that more people are not posting their disgust with this product and company. They are full of crap and yes, they will offer you 35% off only if you buy a new product. At this point, I need to decide in getting a real camera solution from a real vendor or shell out more cash for a half-assed product. Secondly, their videos on the products are a joke. Oh, Mr. Robber turn around you bad boy, I can see you on my Ring-a-Ding. Bull crap. By the time your phone logs onto the Ring App and you access your cameras, the robber has already gone in your home, took your stuff, made himself (or herself) a sandwich, used the bathroom and defiled your cat, and then returned back to their lair. Products are half baked. Need to move on from Ring and invest in a real camera solution. It will pay for itself after having to purchase replacements every 2-3 years.
