Our ring doorbell arrived via Amazon last week and unfortunately does not work. The battery only works when applying pressure to the base of it and holding it up. As soon as I let go the battery disconnects, so it must not be secure in the doorbell. The error code given is P1-101. It’s fully charged and connects to the WiFi (if I hold it up for long enough to connect).
What’s our best bet from here to receive a replacement and restart our 30 day trial ?
Hi @JMAR8341. Since you purchased this from Amazon, the easiest and fastest way to get a replacement would be to initiate a return via Amazon and purchase another device. If you’d like, you can contact Ring to troubleshoot the device, and if it is deemed faulty, initiate a return, which can take 5-10 business days.
