Extend the length of Live View (24/7 recording)
There is currently a 10 minute limit on each live view session, so it stops me from using the indoor camera as an effective baby monitor, or using the doorbell cameras to monitor when I'm waiting for some activity to happen in front of the house. Please make this limit configurable, extend it, or eliminate it for local network viewing.

Here is one method. This was originally written for the 10 Minute Live Timeout. Now that the timeout is down to 30 or 40 seconds, you will need to adjust line 8 to pause for a sleep time that equals 50 seconds instead of 10 minutes. Note: Below is for a 4 camera system. You can modify it for 1 camera if needed. set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell") Do WshShell.AppActivate "Ring" WScript.Sleep 1500 WshShell.SendKeys "{TAB 18}" WScript.Sleep 1500 WshShell.SendKeys " " WScript.Sleep 629000 Loop

I use a lot of ring products and tons more nest on various property’s. I pay for the best plans yearly on both. Nest blows ring away by a mile. Whoever is saying pay for your ring plan and you’ll be able to use the 24/7 feature has no idea what they are talking about. Ring only allows for 90 second clips at most. Do yourself a favor and buy a nest if you want the 24/7 recording. May/2021

You can vote on this item. It has been a missing item for 4 years however. Your best course of action is to return your ring cameras and purchase a different camera. Ring will never fix this item.

DI have waited for Ring to add (remove) the 10 minute time-out feature. My wife and I discussed this today, and we have decided to move to Google Nest cameras. I can live with timing out every 4 hours, but not every 10 minutes. I do software development at my home office, and I like being able to keep an eye on everything around the house. I would even be willing to pay an extra monthly fee for the continuous surveillance. Starting next week, I'm removing my Ring cameras and replacing them. By switching to Nest, I can handle both security and surveillance needs. I won't wait any longer for Ring to change this timeout feature.

This has been an issue for 4 years. Ring will never resolve this issue. Better off purchasing new cameras from a competitor.

@Chelsea_Ring Can the vote for the 10 minute timeout removal be added to the Extend the Length of Live View if this person hasn't already voted there? [https://community.ring.com/t/extend-the-length-of-live-view/4507](https://community.ring.com/t/extend-the-length-of-live-view/4507)

**I’m currently having to use a small tool that I programmed on PC that automatically clicks the reconnect button as soon as it times out.** **Please make continuous viewing an option!**
