Event History won't play

I can't play videos from the Event History. I have 2 Samsungs, one with version 3.19.0 and the other with version 3.18.0. I have a Nokia with version 3.19.0. None of them will play the videos. I also cannot view Event History on a families camera either. The live feed works fine and I can view the history on my laptop but not through the app.

I am having the same problem. I cannot see any video in my Event History. WE just got the Ring not long ago and to be honest not sure yet how it works. Now I read this on the website: "A Ring Protect Plan is an optional subscription that gives you access to paid features for Ring devices such as doorbells, cameras, and alarms. With a Ring Protect Plan, you can save, review, and share video recordings from your Ring devices to your Ring account. Without a Ring Protect Plan, you can still view real-time video for Ring doorbells and cameras and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events." I haven't bought the Protection Plan. And form what it says above I guess without it you can ONLY see the Live Events BUT you CANNOT see the video recording of past events. Anyone out there think this is it. If so, Do you recommend buying the Protection Plan then? How long is it for and how much does it cost?

Hi there, neighbors! When event history is not playing, the best thing to check first is subscription status. [Please check that a Protect Plan](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022109431-Changing-your-Payment-Method-Updating-or-Canceling-your-Ring-Protect-Plan) is subscribed for the Ring device and location. You can also try logging in on Ring.com, via web browser, to check event history and plans there. Please ensure there is not a VPN enabled on any device. As long as you have an active Ring Protect Plan subscription, you should be able to view your recording history. If this is not the case, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.
