Just installed the camera using the poe supply; although I can set it up wired and it says connected in the app no live view or alerts. Reconfigure to use wireless works fine. Rather defeats the object of a wired camera.
Hi @ChrisWharrier. A few things you can try here. First, if you can test another ethernet cable, see if that will work. Next, try plugging into a different port if possible. Lastly, make sure there are no firewall settings blocking the ethernet connection. If these provide no solution, please read our response to COVID-19 here to see how to contact support. Cable checks out using a tester and the port is fine too. Its really odd you go through the setup to switch from wireless to wired and she says it’s connecting to the internet then your camera is ready to use. The heath option says connected and all good. You just can’t do live view and it doesn’t record.
I bought the wired option specifically to use it over a wire. I run the router and switches off a UPS so its always connected. I have a wireless mesh network and can’t keep all the waps up during a power cut
