Given the uptake of people stealing ring doorbell cameras, it would be nice to add an alarm feature that when you see somebody coming up to the doorbell and trying to remove it you can press an alarm sound from the app to make a piercing sound that that would deter theft of a doorbell camera.
If not already done, Ring should take multiple snapshots of the hands to capture ridge details to compare against the fingerprint databases. A little AI tweak to recognize that someone is tampering with the device ought to trigger the function. If the device has a speaker when that function triggers, a message should play, “Facial recognition activated—processing—processing—recalibrating—facial recognition successful—file uploaded to the cloud and local law enforcement. Leave the Ring device and depart the property now to avoid prosecution.”
