Do I need a Bridge?
pre-purchase-question
troubleshooting
I am about to add a ring flood light(none camera) outside my front porch. I already have ring cameras, ring doorbell, and ring alarm system. I want the new flood light to turn on when doorbell or another camera detects motion. Do i need the bridge?

Hi @user61301. In order to control the Smart Light with the Ring app and link it with your other Ring devices, you must use a Ring Bridge. You can also use [certain Echo Devices](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360059329551-Using-Your-Echo-Devices-as-a-Smart-Lighting-Bridge) and a Ring Alarm Pro as a bridge to control your Smart Lights.
