Control a custom 3rd party IoT device when Ring device is armed or disarmed

I am working on a 3rd party device that I need to send a command to turn ON or OFF based on when the Ring security device is armed and disarmed.I am not able to find any documentation that explains how can I establish communication between the Ring security device and the custom device.My understanding so far is that a Skill needs to be developed that would be triggered when the Ring security device is armed and disarmed. However, what is not clear to me is how to link Ring and the custom device.Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks in advance,Jainam
