What type of signal does chime pro generate? Is it different than a range extender? Is it the same frequency as regular WiFi. Basically I want to know if someone can hack or connect to the chime pro? I can’t see it listed as available signal on my phone. Is it only accessible by another ring device? Worries about my neighbor trying to get into my wifi thru it. Thanks.
Hi @Jackietools. The Ring Chime Pro acts as a wifi extender only for other Ring devices. This means your Ring devices such as your Doorbell or Security Camera can connect to the Chime Pro, but not something like your smart phone or tablet.
