Chime flashes red when powered up but doesn’t connect

Ive had a Chime since 2020. It has packed up and won’t connect. When I plug it in I get one red flash then nothing. Customer support tell be it’s out of warranty and therefore I need to get a new one. This is the second Ring device that I’ve had that didn’t last. Poor quality. Does anyone know if it’s repairable or should I quit Ring and invest in a more reliable company?
