Chime does not ring the first time

hello, I have a question regarding the chime.
when someone rings the doorbell, the chime does not ring. If the person rings a second time, then the chime rings.
how to set the chime so that it rings the first time
Thank you

Hi @Kev0405! The Doorbell push to ring should certianly sound on your Chime for the initial event. Having to trigger this twice before hearing the alert might be related to wifi signal strength. Check out our Community post about RSSI for tips on optimizing this signal strength. The signal travelling to your Video Doorbell is important, as is the signal going to your Chime.

Placement of these devices is key to obtaining not only a good connection with your wifi network, but also with each other. Please ensure your Doorbell and Chime are within a reasonable distance to the router, and each other.

Another variable to check here is overlapping events. When this occurs, is there a motion triggered before the button push to ring is registered? While this should not happen, depending on what is being requested by the Video Doorbell at that time can factor in to it’s operation. If there is no other event logged during this time, and a Doorbell button push to ring is simply not registering the first time, try to unlink and relink your Doorbell and Chime in the Ring app, as well as select the Chime tone. Feel free to let us know how this goes!
